We have not disappeared or quit traveling - we did buy a condo (very cheap!) in need of repair. I have spent the past two months making the new place livable while De Anne has been helping her older sister through hip-replacement surgery and convalesence.
We do have our next trip scheduled to Ecuador in mid May for a month headquartered in Manta - so stay tuned!
