The cold weather and high winds has discouraged us from slipping the dock lines, but it is Florida, so warmer days are not far off. De Anne is not use to being this far north in January; however, getting the boat ready for extended cruising has kept her busy and amused (always a good thing).
Yesterday we installed a flag pole holder on the bow for our quarantine flag and our Bahamas courtesy flag - both required for leaving the country.
Our first trip will be 6 miles to Marina Jack's for fresh diesel fuel and to test our new pump out fittings. We most definitely want to be sure the toilet to holding tank to government sewer pipe connection works smoothly and drip-less. It will be great to have new fuel less than 2 years old.
