Four of us set out Monday for another day trip. De Anne bailed off the train early determined to climb Mount Vesuvius while myself, Lisa, and Pat (Lisa's 86 year-old mother) continued on to Herculaneum.
The "garages" in the lower part of the picture were covered storage for boats when Herculaneum was on the water:
Lisa hired a guide for the three of us. It made for an excellent and informative tour.
