Lost in Sorrento

We left Rome by train headed for Naples. In Naples we transferred to a local, and somewhat seedy, intercity train to Sorrento.

A taxi to the villa was the last leg. Lisa and DeLinda (De Anne's sister) have rented the villa for two weeks and invited us to join them. The taxi driver did not want to go down the narrow street to the villa so we agreed to be dropped off a short distance away.

After wandering the street awhile we realized we were lost. Then it started raining. I bought an Italian cell phone that morning and it turned out to be one of the best investments I ever made. I called Lisa and found out we had missed the villa by several miles. She came in her rental car and rescued us.

De Anne and I have the guest house with our own terrace overlooking the Isle of Capri.
